The workshop on the 7th will certainly be a big focus of our work this day, but there will plenty of other things to do, never fear. We are supposed to be getting in a 16 x 50’ Hoop House from Farmers Friend that week. There is a good chance we there will still be elements, if not all of the hoop house still left to be put up. We may also need to be prepping beds inside the hoop house for planting. At the very least there will be other areas of planting that will still need prep work (cardboard, mulch, and compost to be laid out). There will be plenty to do on this day, so if you feel so inclined come enjoy the farm while getting a little dirty, perhaps a little sweaty, and always with good conversation.
We will be doing our best to keep everyone comfortable and safe in these times, which unfortunately means that for the time being we will not be able to conduct our Work Days as potluck events. This means means everyone will have to be in charge of their own lunch. Farming is supposed to be about community and bringing people together through food, we are excited for a time when we will be able to have a meal as an aspect of this. For the time being though we appreciate everyone bringing their own food and water (there will be a way of refilling water bottles).
We are also asking that everyone who attends brings a mask. We will be outside, and socially distanced as best we can, but we still ask that everyone has a mask. We are never sure of the situation others live in, what their risk factors are, or how comfortable they are, so we want to make sure everyone feels welcome and safe. Thank you for understanding.
