The Land

Located in Cedartown, Georgia the farm sits on 18+ acres. The land is mostly pasture at this point, with an old farm house and chicken barn from the 1940’s still present. This land is where Warren spent time visiting his grandparents while growing up. The land is steeped in family history, but also has a history that belongs to the indigenous people of the area, and is connected to the history of farming in this country. Our hope is to honor all of these histories equally.

The Farmer

Warren grew up visiting his grandparents on this land, but never had plans to come back and farm it. After spending time in Vermont and Massachusetts studying Religion, Environmental Studies and a Masters in Sustainable Design, he had a different understanding of his path. With farming, tree work, teaching and working at a coffee shop scattered between it all, he ultimately returned to Georgia to pursue his dream of farming the land.

The Method

Settling on a way to grow food might seem like a quick and easy process. After all we have been farming one way for hundreds of years. The problem is that the way we have been farming has not been great for our environment, our food, or our health. It turns our there are systems that improve the health of our ecosystems while growing nutritious food and nurturing healthy people. Some of these systems have been used for thousands of years, while others have been developed more recently, but they all focus on balance and health for all involved.
